Carl Schurz Park, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, is an historic park that surrounds Gracie Mansion, the official home of NYC's mayor. Calvert Vaux designed the park in the early 1900's.

For many years, Carl Schurz Park Conservancy has commissioned me to design, edit and maintain several garden areas within the park.

I have created everything from formal displays to woodlands. Using carefully selected  plants for each site, the arrays of color, form and texture bring beauty, ecologic strength and vitality to the park.
